Dolores St. Elementary stages 2nd sleepover protest in ongoing effort to remove principal

UTLA teachers and parents bring the fight to the school district headquarters and school board.

October 23, 2008 - Teachers, parents, and students from Dolores St. Elementary School will bring the fight to the school district headquarters and school board, staging their second overnight "sleepover" protest beginning Friday, October 24^th at 6:00 p.m. at LAUSD headquarters in downtown Los Angeles, demanding the removal of "lemon" principal Anna Barraza, who has been twice transferred from other LAUSD campuses.

Protestors will be sleeping on the sidewalk outside of LAUSD headquarters on Friday night in a continued effort to call attention to the problem principal at the elementary school. read more »
