The Inner City Committee is dedicated to support the needs of teachers in urban schools. 

Events

This year, the Committee is sponsoring two conferences:

A stress management and spa retreat (event flyer with time and location) has been scheduled for April 13 through 15.

Join the Inner City Committee in Corona at a weekend conference and spa excursion April 13 through 15. We will examine stress, its characteristics and causes, and discover means to manage it and reduce it. In this way, we'll work together to reduce the high attrition rate from our profession and eliminate burnout.

The bus will leave UTLA at 5:00 pm. We will enjoy a reception Friday evening; workshops all day Saturday, Sunday morning, and then wind down in the mud baths at Glen Ivy Spa.

Cost: $200.00, which includes transportation to and from the retreat, reception Friday night, two-night hotel stay (double-occupancy), breakfast and lunch Saturday and Sunday, spa entry fee, and one salary point

The Inner City Committee Annual Conference on May 4, 5, and 6 (event flyer), which includes a bus trip to Colonel Allensworth Historic Park and evening workshops at the African American Cultural Museum.
