Health and Human Services Committee

The UTLA Health and Human Services is a multidisciplinary team of professionals who collaborate with families, schools and communities to facilitate the equitable access to health, mental health and human services necessary to maximize student achievement.

We provide essential leaning support for students to ensure the readiness, participation and preparation of success for all students in Los Angeles Unified School District.

There are over 5,000 H and H UTLA members. Health and Human Services professionals include Adapted PE, Educational Audiologists, Psychiatric Social Workers, Pupil Services and Attendance Counselors, School Nurses Chair, School Psychologists, Secondary Counselors, Speech and Language, and Traveling Art, Dance, and Music.

The Health and Human Services Committee meets on the same evening as the House of Representatives from 4:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. We need your participation and voice.
