From Hollywood to the docks of San Pedro and Long Beach, the Los Angeles labor movement is one of the most dynamic in the country. But budget cuts, an economic downturn and misplaced priorities mean that working families will have to fight to secure and maintain their portion of the American dream.
As public school educators, we are a key part of the labor movement. Let’s make our presence felt. Please join UTLA members and our sisters and brothers from other unions across the Southland at the annual Labor Day event in Wilmington.
Look for the UTLA banner at the beginning of the march.
